      Terms & Conditions of business

Service Provision

Feline Friends agree to provide cat sitting services in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner.  In consideration of the services, the client waives and releases Feline Friends from any and all claims against the company, except those arising from wilful misconduct or negligence on their part.

 

I am DBS checked and fully insured with Protectivity.  Certificates available upon request.

 

It is the clients responsibility to supply any necessary equipment and supplies needed for the care of their cat(s)including, but not limited to; cat food, bowls, litter trays and cat litter.  The client authorises the purchase of any further items required to carry out the sitting till its completion.  Costs for these will be invoiced to the client.

 

Rates & Payments

Feline Friends reserves the right to amend service rates.  Reviews will usually be held annually in February.  Clients will be advised of changes in advance via email, letter or text.

 

The client agrees to pay all charges for the service provided.  Payment is due 7 days prior to the commencement date.  Payment can be made via bank transfer or cash.

 

Any cancellation with less than 24 hours notice prior to the scheduled start will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the total cost of the booking.  Any refund due will be kept put towards a future booking or refunded to the client.

 

Illness & Injuries

Feline Friends will exercise all precautions against sickness, injury, escape, loss, accidents or death of the clients cat(s). Feline Friends is only responsible if this has been caused through their negligence or wilful misconduct .

 

Feline Friends will administer medications as directed by the client, but are not liable for any complications arising as a result of the medication given.

 

Should the client’s cat become ill or sustain an injury/accident whilst in the care of Feline Friends I will endeavour to contact the client immediately it becomes apparent there is a problem.  Photos and videos will be sent to the client for them to decide whether a veterinary visit is required.  It a veterinary visit is required I will take the cat to the appointment and remain there for the duration.  Any prescribed medication will be administered to the cat for the remainder of the booking and I will not be liable if any complications occur as a result thereof.

 

In the event of an emergency accident/injury and the client cannot be immediately contacted, the Client authorises me to take the cat directly to their registered veterinary practice.

 

The client accepts responsibility for payment of all medical expenses, payment should be made directly to the veterinary practice.

 

Keys

The client shall provide one full set of keys to the clients property together with instructions on the operation of the burglar alarm or other security systems. The client should ensure all windows and doors that need to be opened are in good repair and locks are in working order. Feline Friends will not be liable for any breach of the clients home security due to poorly maintained or ill fitting locks and doors. Should Feline Friends be unable to access the property due to defective keys a charge will be added to the bill to cover the time and inconvenience as well as additional costs such as the locksmith.  Keys are held in a secure lockbox and labelled with an an unidentifiable reference to the owners and will be returned to the client as soon as the client has notified Feline Friends that they have returned home.

 

The client agrees to properly secure the home prior to leaving the premises. Feline Friends will re-secure the home at the end of each visit.

 

The client will provide contact details of any third parties that will be attending to their property during the cat sitting period, for example cleaners, the client understands that Feline Friends or not be held liable for the property left unsecured if they are not the sole entrants during the cat sitting period.

 

Emergency/Unforeseen Circumstances

In the case of an emergency, inclement weather or natural disaster the client authorises Feline Friends to use reasonable judgement for the care and well-being of the clients Cat(s). Feline Friends will make reasonable efforts to maintain service during these conditions, but reserve the right to adjust the schedule of service based on the discretion of the cat sitter. The Cat(s) well-being will always be the highest priority and they will never be left without food and water.

 

Publicity

The client authorises the use of your cat(s) pictures on website, social media and any marketing materials for promotional purposes. If you do not wish your cat(s) picture to be used please inform Feline Friends in writing.

 

Contract 

The client authorises this contract to be valid approval for services for Feline Friends to accept all future in person, telephone, online, mail or email reservations and provide services without additional signed contracts or written authorisation. The terms of this document apply to all cats owned by the client, including any and all new cats that the client obtains on or after the date of this document.
